Case Study
Janet Hall

Just over two years ago I meet Tom while I was looking for guidance to learn to become a professional speaker. Tom and I spoke, I got his system, and then since we live near each other we bartered our services; He helping me one-on-one with my speaking career and I helped him to "try" and get organized. I became a "regular" at Tom's office and was around when he started developing BUTT Camp. In amazement I watched his business grow, and I attended several BUTT Camps.

Slowly but surely I started implementing many of his suggestions. I already had a web site that I created and maintain myself. However, I hardly had any visitors. My site was costing me because I also had a shopping cart and real time credit card processing BUT I was lucky if I sold $25 worth of product in six months (I had one product at the time). And according to my statistics I averaged 30-50 visitors a month!

I had to take some action QUICK or close my site as I had been losing money for two years. First I revamped my keywords and title bar, then I was off to submit to search engines and directories. I created an electronic newsletter and every time I wrote an article I would go in search of others on the Internet to submit to for them to use in their newsletters or on their web site. Soon I became the "expert" on several web sites. Visitors were starting to come and STAY at my web site, BUT better yet, they were buying product and hiring me for my services as a professional organizer. 99% of people that hire me tell me they found me on the Internet!

In between all of this I started creating more products. I held teleseminars and audiotaped them to sell. I now have five audiotapes. I created another booklet and made my first booklet into an ebook. Now I was seeing some money go into my checking account!

I worked on making my site "look" more professional and less cluttered (Like Tom said, "You can't have a cluttered looking web site if you're an organizer!"). I did this by hiring a high school student to "fine tune" my logo and the top of my web pages. I created buttons for my navigation bars and fine tuned them using my keywords. I bartered with a copy writer to write copy for some of my pages.

Next it was on to writing a book, Secrets of a Professional Organizer and How-To Become One, that would lead me to become the EXPERT for beginner organizers and to start my coaching business.

Well I could go on and on but the bottom line is that I now have 750 to 1000 visitors a WEEK coming to my web site and my sales have increased so much that I was able to hire a virtual assistant part-time to submit my articles and newsletter to others on the Internet.

Let me tell you one more thing. Tom would talk and talk to me about creating product, and do this and do that. Many times I would let "other things" get in my way BUT no longer…I've started climbing the ladder of success and I want to STAY there! SO listen to Tom, do what he advises, trust me, I've seen his checkbook. You can start beefing yours up with lots more sales by following his advise.

Oh, by the way, now reporters call me for interviews and my speaking business is really starting to pick up. Thanks Tom for all you do!
