He took care of the problem in about 3 minutes, then returned to the table and launched into a discussion about customer service. Watching a successful Internet marketing millionaire jump through hoops to assist a distraught $27.00 customer was a valuable lesson I could never have learned from one of those big Internet marketing conferences.” – Joan Stewart You know that you are losing money if you don’t have a website and a solid Internet marketing infrastructure to go with it. Every day you don’t have one, the more money you lose. At the other end of the spectrum, one mistake can cost you thousands of dollars. I see this at least two or three times a week when someone calls me for help and tells me they spent $3,000.00, $4,000.00 or $5,000.00 on their website and it has no traffic and no sales. This makes me furious and I won’t let that happen to you. If you just follow a simple set of rules I give you, you’ll have one or more inexpensive websites that have a good psychological sales process, good advertising copy to sell you and your products and services and shopping system that acts like a professional sales force selling and upselling for you 24 hours a day. If you consistently put even 1/10th of the time working on your Internet business that you put into going to work to make someone else rich – you can build yourself a source of residual income that could make your financial future a very happy thing. Now of course you have to use some discernment… There are tons of Internet marketing seminars springing up all over the country. It seems that anyone who ever sold a toothbrush through some affiliate program is now an Internet marketing expert. You’ve got to be darn careful if you attend one of these product pitch-fests. With only a few good conferences out there, most likely you’ll be bombarded with pitches to buy product with very little good content shared with you for your admission fee. It wouldn’t be so bad if the speakers were really making money selling real products to real people. . . But For many of them, -- the only real money they’re making is selling “how to make money on the Internet” information to you! The biggest mistake of your life comes when you invest in one of their half-baked ideas (because you didn’t know any better) and lose your shirt because the idea is not effective in the real world. And as I stated above . . . mistakes can be very, very costly. So what’s my story? And why are my retreat weekends different? The big difference is that I didn’t start out selling “How to Make Money on the Internet” stuff to people like you. I was selling public speaking information. Now if you want a hard thing to sell on the Internet, try to sell public speaking stuff. It is a well-known fact that most people HATE public speaking. Yes, they have to do it at work sometimes and yes there are some Toastmasters who do it as a hobby, but for the most part people would rather kick their grandmother in the face than give a speech. The reason I started teaching Internet marketing was because people begged me to show them how I was selling so much public speaking stuff online. I never dreamed I’d be a top Internet speaker and I certainly did NOT plan it from the start. The marketplace simply demanded my help and I stepped up to the plate. And here’s the story behind the story… My pitiful beginnings were that I had a website built by a techno-geek who wrote straight HTML (this was way before Web Design Programs were invented). Nothing got done fast, and it would take weeks, sometimes months, to get simple typos fixed. It took over a year to get my “Wake ‘em Up Business Presentations” book on the website. YIKES! I was caught in propeller head HELL! (I know many of you have been there, or you are there right now and I promise I’ll get you out of that mess PRONTO.) Back then, there wasn’t much I could do about it so the website sat for 2 years. I was talking to the hosting company guy who looked at the site statistics and told me that only 400 people had visited the site in that 2 years. DOUBLE YIKES! That was my two-by-four to the head that told me I better get busy and learn what I needed to learn about web marketing so that I could get more visitors to buy my public speaking stuff… I started studying everything I could get my hands on about Internet marketing. I thank my lucky stars that one of the first credible sources of Information came from Corey Rudl, a young man selling $6 million a year on the Internet. This is the key... If you have a chance to study under someone, for God’s sake study under someone who is making money . . . not just giving a book report. I trained under Corey and started getting immediate results. I then branched off from Corey and started selling lots of my speaking stuff on the Internet. I was smart enough to listen to good advice from many marketers who told me to dominate an industry, which is relatively easy to do on the Internet. (I’ll teach you that technique when you visit me here at the center.) When people from the speaking industry started begging me to help them sell their stuff, I started being a real player and became pretty much the number one Internet marketing “guru” to the speaking, training, coaching, consultant and writing industries. There is no other experience like this available in the world. When you spend time with me I will personally customize a program to suit where you are now and where you want to go. If you’re a beginner, that’s OK, I’ll start you where you need to be. If you’re intermediate or advanced with Internet marketing, you’ll get exactly what you need to move up to your next level.
